In Our Community

We hold an annual Irish Night which raises at least $20,000 for Kainos and other local charities through a corned beef and cabbage dinner, a live and silent auction, and a raffle for a trip to Ireland.

We are part of a team sponsorship of the Trivia Bee to support reading skills through friends of Literacy, Project Read.

We sponsor the Art David Shootout, a Basketball competition between local area high schools.

We contribute to the local Salvation Army Bell Ringing efforts.

Around Easter we prepare bags of candy for seniors and needy families.

At Christmas and Thanksgiving we prepare food baskets and toys for needy families.

We sponsor a winter warm coat and clothing drive.

We lend helping hands to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Peninsula Sunrise Rotary sponsors Redwood High School scholarships, as well as providing volunteers for “career day.”

And we are an active partner in the Habitat for Humanity housing project.

Peninsula Sunrise Rotary makes regular contributions to the Rotary International Foundation.

We support the Books to China project.

Peninsula Sunrise Rotary supports Rotary’s Polio Eradication Program.

We participate in the Sponsor an orphan in Brazil project.

We contribute to the development of housing in Mexico.

We support a vocational school in Ghana.

We have purchased medical equipment for a children’s hospital in Turkey.
